Here today to share a sympathy card that I recently sent a friend whose father passed away. I did a little distress ink blending (Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry) for the background and kept the image a simple black. Over the years, I have parted with the majority of my wood block stamps from Stampin' Up! However, I've don't think I'll ever get rid of the "Lovely as a Tree" set. The sentiment on the bottom is from "Words of Comfort" by PTI and I stamped it with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
Even though it was a somber occasion for a card, I was pleased with the final result.
