Hi Everyone!
I am so excited to be the guest designing over at the
Great Impressions challenge blog for the whole month of October! It’s always fun to be able to play with new stamps and I was tickled pink with the awesome selections I received to use this month.
For my first card this month, I chose the “Wicked Pair” sentiment along with the “Double Trouble” image.
All of the card stock I used is from Papertrey ink. I started with a side folded A2 card Smoky Shadow card base. I added the layers of Winter Wisteria and Vintage Crème next. Next, I colored some white card stock using a “direct ink to paper” technique with Orange Peel ink from Simon Says Stamp and Dusty Concord Distress ink and then used two different Fiskars edge punches to create the two scalloped edges.
For the image panel, I stamped the “Double Trouble” image with Ranger Archival ink in black and then colored the image in with Copic markers. The witch on the left was colored using C5, 100, BV11, BV13, YR04, YG03. The witch on the right was colored with C5, 100, YG03, YG17, YG25, BV11, YR04. I colored the broom with E33, E25 and Y13. I inked the edges with Orange Peel ink and then added the image panel to a piece of Simply Chartreuse. I drew a simple black line border around the edges just for a bit of added interest.
I stamped the sentiment on the right side of the card with some black ink and then added some random stickles in green, orange and black around the sentiment. Finally I tied some gold cord around the scalloped edges to finish the card.
This was so much fun! I can’t wait to share more great cards with you this month!
