OCL challenge, and a single layer card
Hi!
Here very quickly to post two cards for you today. The first is for this week's OCL DT challenge # 10. For this card I used Purely Pomegranate, Cool Caribbean, Celery and Kraft. I stamped the Caribbean piece with my Crosshatch background stamp. I ran the celery piece through the CB folder with the Spots and Dots embossing folder. I stamped the lighthouse from OCL's "Coastal Wishes" in black ink and then used some of my new Copic Markers to shade it in. I sponged some Soft Sky around the darker blues. I made it a bit splotchy to resemble sky and clouds. I added the ribbon and the little buttons at the top to finish the card.
The second card I have for today is a very simple one layer card that was inspired by this week's MACM Video from Kristina Werner. This was a new thing for me; but one that I really enjoyed doing because it was both easy and challenging at the same time. The most time consuming part was trying to figure out the layout and position of the stamps. Once I had decided that, it was super quick to put together. My card is Kraft from SU and the inks are Pomegranate and Color Box Fluid Chalk ink in Charcoal. I used my new Inkadinkado "Flower Garden" stamp set. Some paper piercing and faux white stitching with my white gel pen were all the "extras" I did with this card. (My white stitching ended up a bit crooked...oh well! )
So that's all for me today. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and I'll see you all on Monday!!
