Techniques class cards
Good Morning!
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I just decided to take a blogging break, plain and simple! I did manage to get a lot done as it relates to crafting, however. I completed two layouts for a book I'm working on as well as these two cards, which I will be doing for my techniques class on Saturday. The class will focus on how to do different backgrounds using two different techniques. The first one is a textured background, which I used in the "friend to friend" sample. This is an easy technique that is done by first sponging different colors onto white card stock. In my example, I used pink pirouette, regal rose, sage shadow. Then spritz water on the paper, and crumple it up before smoothing it out again. While the paper is wet, take an ink pad (here Rose Red) and cover the paper. Be sure to let it dry before attaching it to your project. I would recommend using brads or eyelets to help attach it more securely.
The second card I did uses the Shaving Cream technique. This card is self explanatory, and time is once again getting away from me, so that's all for me today. Be sure to scroll down for this week's recipe, though. Have a great day and thanks for visiting with me!
