OCC Wedding Card
Good Monday Morning!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was great, filled with good times spent with the family. My husband and I attended a wedding Saturday afternoon and when I saw the OCC challenge yesterday morning, I decided to use that as my inspiration to make a card for them. The challenge was to make a card that had two or more hearts on it. I chose to use Navy as a base because the bride's wedding gown had this gorgeous navy piece that "V'd" out from the waist of the gown around and down the train of the dress. It was incredibly unique and quite stunning I thought. The red in the card was inspired by the fact that the groom is 1st Batallion Marine and red is their color.
Finally, I used Bashful Blue and White as the accent colors. I used the new SAB set "Congratulations" and "Simply Said" for the images. I made the little hearts along the bottom using the scallop circle technique, which I just recently learned about and think is just the coolest thing! The two Prima flowers at the top with the navy eyelets completed the card. It's simple; but I think they will like it.
So, that's all for me right now. Be sure to check out the other entries on the OCC blog. I will hopefully be back later with Mojo Monday...but maybe not until tomorrow.
