A Not So "Foxy Oxi" card
Good Morning Everyone!
Do you ever see a technique and think, "I can't wait to try that!" Then you do and no matter how hard you try, it just never comes out as well as the samples you've seen. Well, I suppose that that is what has happened here. I saw a tutorial on SCS for using oxi-clean to make some very cool looking backgrounds and decided to give it a try. I'd also thought about doing this for my techniques class this weekend which will focus on how to use different household products with stamping. So, I followed the directions and after 4 attempts, this was the best one that I got. In case you can't tell, I used the technique on the yellow-green background behind the "Upsy Daisy" image. Once the card was all put together, I didn't think it looked too bad. Still, it's a technique that I don't think I'll be trying again. I wasted a lot of paper, trying to figure out how much oxi to use, did I use too much water, not enough?
Still, I liked to know what you all think. Have any of you tried this technique? Was it successful? Any helpful hints?
I'm going to try to work on a couple more things today and hopefully post them later. Until then, have a great morning! Oh, and I've also decided to start listing my supplies I've used at the bottom of each post, instead of within the post. At least for now, anyways. Who knows, I'll probably change my mind tomorrow!
