Good Morning Everyone!
Yesterday I had the chance to do not one; but two SCS challenges. Always love it when I can combine challenges. This one is for Tuesday's color challenge of Taken with Teal, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze. It's also for yesterday's sketch challenge. This sketch was super easy and one that I will definitely keep in mind for future use. I started with a Teal base and stamped "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" in versamark over the entire front. Then I added a strip of Riding Hood Red and used some gold ribbon as a border on each side. Next came the Baja Breeze piece. I cut three scallop circles, one in white and two in red. (Note, I punched the circles out first and then the scallop punch around that.) For the center image I used the heart stamp from the retire set "All Through The Year." Then I went over it with a versamarker and added heat and stick powder and then gold glitter to make it shine a bit. The top and bottom images are from "Polka Dots and Petals" and I stamped them on white paper, punched them out and then placed them underneath the Riding Hood Red scallop circles.
Yes, I'm still on a birthday card mission, so the sentiment is from "Simple Sayings II", which I stamped in Ruby Red ink. It was simple and easy; but I think it turned out rather well. I would love to hear what you all think!
Have a great day and be sure to scroll down for this week's recipe: Gumbo!!
