Good Morning Everyone!
Here is another card I made this weekend using my new fresh cut set. I thought the TQ, Celery and Apricot made a nice summer color combination. I am also enjoying my new fiskar's borders stamps which I used here to fill in some of that white space around the edges. I also did yesterday's SCS "surprise pop-up card". However, I didn't like it, so I am currently working on a different one, which I hope will be better and worthy of posting. Trust me, the first one was not! Today's SCS challenge is CC170 using Real Red, Regal Rose and So Saffron. Here is a link to the gallery for samples.
I think I learned a bit of a lesson yesterday; and that is that I think I'm chasing challenges a bit too much. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy doing them, but I noticed yesterday that my boys spent all afternoon watching tv because I was trying to complete a challenge that was frustrating me. With the summer months coming, Reagan will be out of school and I don't want her spending it in front of the television. She needs to continue developing those skills she learned this year. Tyler will begin pre-K this fall and I want to make sure that he is well prepared. To that end, I think I shall be reevaluating my stamping and the amount of time spent doing it. Don't worry, that's not to say I'm not going to do it anymore and that I'm not going to post here. I enjoy sharing things with you and I hope you will continue to visit with me daily. I've just realized that completing an SCS challenge every single day is not what is important. If I have the opportunity to stamp, I will. If not...tomorrow's always another day.
