Changes and New Cards

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. It was beautiful but very hot here in SC. I spent Saturday afternoon shopping with my mom and my daughter. I need a dress for a formal shin-dig DH and I have next week. It's funny, I don't go to the mall too often and I'm always excited when I do...at least for the first 20 minutes! Then I'm ready to go home. I'm just not a big crowd kind of person. Perhaps it was living overseas in Okinawa for 3 years where the best shopping (the only good shopping) was done online. I did, however, make my way to Joann's and got some really cute paper and played around with it yesterday morning before church. The card I made with this paper is the good luck card and it's also my submission for the Stamp Something Challenge this week. I used Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Certainly Celery and a piece of silver paper for the colors. I love these colors together. The friendship card that I've posted is actually a card made by friend Kendra. I thought it was super cute and wanted to share it with all of you.
Today is "Try a New Technique" on SCS. This week's TLC 171 challenge is "the whole enchilada" where you have to create an assortment of 3x3 cards, the envelopes and a box for them to go in. I think it's a fabulous idea; but unfortunately won't have a chance to do today. Perhaps later in the week.
Ok, so I'm off to be creative. Although, I do have company coming this evening, so I may have to be creative between vacuuming and cleaning the bathrooms!
I am sure you noticed that I've changed the template for my blog for the month of June. I decided to go with blue in honor of all the dads for Father's Day. I also chose blue because it was my father's favorite color and since this will be my first father's day without him, I thought it a simple way to honor his memory.
